Description: Charley Taylor's personal Football Hall of Fame gold jacket (Taylor letter of provenance). Classic golden sportscoat issued to Charley Taylor has an "NFL Alumni Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee" patch on the left front chest. It carries on the long standing tradition of such pieces which are issued to those inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton and they have become a symbol of the highest level of success within the sport. It is important to note that the Hall of Fame reissued new jackets to all members in 2013 to replace those which were aging, this example pre-dates that switch. Taylor was named Rookie of the Year in 1964 and would go on to play on (3) Super Bowl Championship teams. He remains among the most revered figured in Washington football history. The jacket has an "Imperial by Haggar" tag on the inside and shows moderate wear with some very minor scattered spots of discoloration. Size (44L) is noted on the collar tag. Includes a signed letter of provenance from Charley Taylor relaying that it was given to him by the Football Hall of Fame and while he states that it is the jacket he was wearing while making his Induction speech, video shows a different style of patch on the front of the one he was wearing that day: EX
