Description:UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Paul Hornung's personal Football Hall of Fame gold jacket (Family letter of provenance). Classic golden sportscoat issued to Paul Hornung has an "NFL Alumni" patch on the left front chest. It carries on the long standing tradition of such pieces which are issued to those inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton and they have become a symbol of the highest level of success within the sport. It is important to note that the Hall of Fame re-issued new jackets to all members in 2013 to replace those which were aging, this example appears pre-dates that switch. While clearly a vintage example issued to Hornung we cannot confirm as to whether this jacket was worn by Hornung during is actual induction. Hornung played under Vince Lombardi who proclaimed him to be "the best player I ever coached." During their run the Packers would win (4) NFL titles and the first Super Bowl. The jacket has "Imperial by Haggar" tagging and is size (48L). Well preserved with moderate evident use/wear. Includes a signed letter of provenance from Angela Hornung: EX
