Description: Early J.F. Hillerich & Son "Patent No. 716541" baseball bat c.1900s. Hand turned 33.75" long wooden bat has ornate "Patent No.716541" design impressed in the barrel end. The centerbrand is an early "Louisville Slugger, Made By J.F. Hillerich & Son" version with dash-dot-dash marking at the bottom. Nice example for display with well defined markings and moderate use including some cleat marks and other identations. Back of the barrel has some grain swelling/separation.
