Description:"Forbes Field Clubs" cigar box c.1910. Early wooden cigar box is the larger variety (7.5"x7"x3.75") which was issued to hold "Forbes Field Clubs" brand product. That name is impressed on the outer lid while the inside bears a paper stock label showing a view of the interior of the famed Pittsburgh Pirates home venue which bore that same name. This scene is also repeated on (3) outer sides (one missing the majority of the label). Age and storage related wear includes toning/discoloration and some scattered scuffs and scrapes. The lid is affixed but has loosened somewhat along the back/bottom seam. There is some loss the tax seal. While we have offered a few of the smaller versions of this box over the past (10) or so years, this the first of the larger variety we can recall handling: VG
