Description:Baseball themed mechanical carnival figure with "Balls" bucket c.1910s-20s . Near life sized figure of a batter (69" tall) was cut from a sheet of heavy gauge metal and painted to resemble a player in early uniform. While the bat is no longer present it used to be affixed at the hands and would mechanically swing at a thrown ball. There is rust throughout the back and it is clear that the painted from has been redone to enhance display value. Includes a period wooden bucket which has "Balls" lettered on the front beneath a painted on baseball graphic (paint here has more than likely been touched up as well). A notable piece of baseball related folk art with charming display value: Overall EX
