Description: 1888 Sporting Times Cigar New York Giants. Nicely done piece (4.5"x7.5") has "Smoke Sporting Times Cigar" titling across the top with "League Champions" and "1888" noted below. Pictured are members of the New York Giants including Hall of Famers Tim Keefe, John M. Ward, Mickey Welch, Buck Ewing, Roger Connor, and James O'Rourke. Lower right corner has a portion missing with toning/discoloration to the edge and there is some far less marked wear to lower left. The back has grid drawn on in pencil and it is filled in with what appears to be cigar production related notations and a May 1898 date stamp. The piece has the appearance of a cigar box label but may have been intended as a trade card or similar promotional piece: GDEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,250)
