Description: 1968 Topps Plaks uncut strip of (11) Checklist American League #1 cards each featuring (6) Hall of Famers incl. Mantle. Exceedingly rare uncut strip of (11) 1968 Topps Plaks Checklist cards from one of the toughest test issues produced in the period. They were intended for release (individually) in packs which contained a checklist card, (3) small plastic busts, and a piece of chewing gum. Each card is double sided and pictures (12) American League players including Mickey Mantle, Harmon Killebrew, Frank Robinson, Carl Yastrzemski, Catfish Hunter, and Al Kaline. Hand cut from a larger sheet (with irregular edge at the bottom) it offers striking display value however there are several condition flaws including a 1" tear at center of the top, some additional corner/edge wear, and a few wrinkles/creases. One of only a handful of intact uncut strips to have entered the market, all of which likely originated from the same larger sheet accounting for the notable scarcity.
