Description:"All Star Dairies" promotional book with advertising fold outs featuring Mickey Mantle and Eddie Mathews (and a large format original poster) c.1960s. Promotional book (approx. 9.75"x14" when closed) is comprised of (15) heavy stock pages (including covers) which are die-cut to resemble the shape of a glass of milk. It was released for distribution to retailers to relay the extent to which "All Star Dairies" intended to promote their products and show various advertising pieces which were available. Most interior pages offer a typed summation of an advertising campaigns' potential audience on one side with facing page bearing an affixed example of what the proposed ad piece will look like. Nearly all of the pieces which are affixed fold out to larger dimensions and most would, on their own, be fantastic display pieces when framed. The first two show a pair of proposed full page newspaper advertisements, each measuring 11"x16.25" and picturing Mickey Mantle and Eddie Mathews (nearly identical however one has color in some areas); the next has an affixed example of a smaller ad (5"x8.25") also depicting Mantle and Mathews; the next has a small printed on example of a larger poster (baseball themed but picturing only a generic child player) and an original example of the poster (not attached to the book) is included (approx. 24"x44" with fold lines from years of storage within the book); two more have "Truck Panels" which are 14"x21" posters, one of which is baseball themed with similar child illustration (the other is generic and for an ice cream product); and the last of any baseball relation it titled "Display Case Strips" and has an affixed 6"x14" fold out showing the same generic child as the other pieces. Spiral bound with the front cover having come loose but it is presently secured in place with some archival tape and there is other mild storage and handling wear. The affixed fold outs (and the large format poster) are in very fine condition with minimal wear except the fold lines with which they were issued. Notably rare and one of what may amount to only a handful of surviving examples: Overall EX with note to description
