Description: Extremely Rare 1911-16 T216 Kotton Cigarettes Cy Young (SGC 2 GD, highest of 2 graded). Exceedingly rare card is perhaps the first from this series, which was issued by People's Tobacco regionally in the Louisianan area, that we have ever offered. Hall of Famer Cy Young is pictured as a member of the Cleveland Naps in what was to be his final season in baseball. The image offers crisp registration and is set against a bold red/orange background. The corners are rounded and there is other moderate wear along with some toning on the back. SGC notes only two examples in their population report (this being the superior with regard to grade) and PSA indicates that they have graded (4) however this number may not reflect an accurate count (the series was issued with more than one back and they do not differentiate). A key card from this exceedingly rare series and this opportunity may represent the only time a T216 Young comes to market for the foreseeable future: SGC 2 GDEstimated Price Range: ($7,500-$12,500)
