Description: Significant July 9, 1968 All-Star Game last pitch baseball. Spalding W.Giles Official National League baseball displaying strong use/wear has a pair of vintage marker notations reading "1968 All Star Game John Bench" and "Houston July 9 Last Pitch To Yastrzemski (K)." The National League won the game, which was played at the Astrodome, 1-0 on a first inning run scored by Willie Mays in a bizarre play. The final out of the game saw Jerry Koosman facing Yaz with Bench behind the plate (Bench would go on to top Koosman in voting for Rookie of The Year honors). One of the few All-Star Game attributed baseballs we have seen offered from an impeccable primary source. Includes letter of provenance from Johnny Bench: EX
