Description: c.1962-64 Roy Sievers professional model batting helmet insert from teammate Bobby Wine - with similar period Wine hat and cleats (EX) Early molded plastic batting helmet insert has "Sievers" name written along the interior band in vintage black marker. "Wilson" manufacturers mark appears along the outside with model number "A 5480" and size, "M." Considerable usage wear is evident throughout with a crack at top wrapped in vintage trainers' tape and an additional which partially rings the opening on top. Originates from the collection of Bobby Wine whom played alongside Sievers in Philadelphia from 1962-64; period Phillies hat by Wilson (with "Professional Cap" tag on interior band) has the number "13" written under the brim in vintage marker (as worn by Wine in 1965). Usage and general age related wear throughout and there is some discoloration/residue on the top; Wilson brand cleats which likely date to the late 1960s, or possibly early 70s, having "Wine 7" written on in black marker and display mild usage wear.
