Description: 1909-10 S74 Silks sewn into handmade pillow - total of (45) with (6) Hall of Famers incl. Cobb and Mathewson (See description) Hand made pillow with the front of the case incorporating (45) 1909-10 S74 silks. Notable players include Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Hal Chase, Mordecai Brown, Tris Speaker, Fred Snodgrass, Rube Marquard, John McGraw, and Fred Merkle. Wear throughout consistent with use as intended (as a pillow) however there is still very nice display value. The Cobb silk has a horizontal strip of wear and the Mathewson has heavy wear/fraying/loss of print across the face. A portion of other individual player silks have heavy wear (some no longer readily discernable) while others are in strong condition with the exception of the stitching at edges. This internet auction will close to initial bids at 10pm E.S.T on May 29, 2024. Bids may be placed at any time up until the closing and bidding will extend past 10pm E.S.T. on May 29 for 20 minute intervals per lot for each bid placed on a given lot.
