Description: Mel Ott 1942 season scrapbook from the Ott collection (VG/EX). Large scrapbook chronicles Ott and the Giants during the 1942 season, and is filled with newspaper and publication clippings. These are generally arranged in game order (with a game numbered/specific page) and mostly remain sorted although the bulk have fallen off of the page (due to drying of tape/adhesive). Tucked inside is a scorecard from the Giants May 23, 1942 game. Also includes a sepia toned 6.25"x8.25" photo showing Ott as he looks through this scrapbook and previous Hunt Auctions letter of provenance from the Ott family.
