Description: 1920 Yankees at Red Sox scorecard with Ruth first year in N.Y. (VG/EX). Outstanding original 5-cent scorecard lists Babe Ruth batting third in the lineup behind Wally Pipp in his first season in Yankee pinstripes. Scorecard (with Beeman's Original Pepsin Gum advertising) is partially scored with a few pencil run notations that suggest the game was possibly played on Sept. 4, 1920 and won by the Yankees 5-3 with a home run by Ruth and pitching by Rip Collins. Also features interior ad for the Babe Ruth Cigar, the "Best Cigar Made in Boston." Scorecard exhibits a heavy horizontal fold line and and some age-related toning, but retains outstanding eye appeal: VG/EX. $500-$1,000Final Bid: $1,210.00
