Description: Rare 1885 Louisville Base Ball Club Elrod Studios cabinet card with Pete Browning (EX/MT display value, graded SGC 30 Good) Exceedingly rare cabinet mounted photograph of this important team which included early star Pete Browning who hit .362 in 1885 to capture his second American Association batting title. Displays at the EX/MT level with image portion having a few minute flaws. Mount has some very minor toning/spotting which is somewhat more pronounced on back. Technical grade assigned by SGC falls at lower level due in large part to a pair of very small numbers which are handwritten over the printed listing on back. The only example we can note as having been offered at auction: SGC 30 Good with EX/MT display value ($2,000-$4,000)Final Bid: $8,107.00
