Description: 1992 Dennis Eckersley Oakland Athletics auto. professional model road jersey from 1992 All-Star Game. Road grey knit shirt features Oakland script lettering on front with player #43 on left breast and on back. Embroidered A's elephant logo patch appears on left sleeve and 1992 All-Star Game patch appears on the right sleeve. The shirt originally had an A's 25th Anniversary patch on the right sleeve that was removed prior to the application of the All-Star patch. The outline of the former patch is still visible. Eckersley's name is stitched on nameplate on back. Russell Athletic tagging is stitched on the front tail noting size "46" with adjacent flag tag noting "100% polyester". Eckersley has signed the front in black sharpie with notation "MVP Cy Young 1992". Signature and inscriptions rate 8-9 out of 10. Shirt exhibits moderate usage wear and retains superb display quality. Completely original and unaltered. 1992 was an epic season for Eckersley as he not only garnered pitching's top honor (Cy Young award), but was also named as the AL's Most Valuable Player as a relief pitcher after notching 51 saves.
