Description: Lot of (3) 1947 Babe Ruth Day photographs with original clipping and letter. Three 3 3/4"x4 3/4" photographs from Babe Ruth Day in 1947 at Yankee Stadium show a close up of Ruth on the field, a distant shot of him delivering his famous farewell speech and a shot of Ruth in the Yankee Stadium clubhouse for the last time with bat in hand, posing with his friend Emory Perry. Accompanying the photos is a letter from the photo dept. of the Daily News to Emory Perry dated May 11, 1947 that reads, "Dear Mr. Perry: I bet you like these, don't you? I dug out the negative and printed them up for you. Sincerely, Charles Hoff."
