Description: Babe Ruth’s 500th home run game program. Program issued for the game played at League Park in Cleveland on August 11, 1929 in which the Bambino hit his 500th career home run. In the same game, Lou Gehrig hit his 27th of the season, although the New York Yankees lost to the Cleveland Indians who took over third place from the St. Louis Browns. Program is scored in pencil with period notation of Ruth’s 500th homer. Program has some cover soiling and moderate general wear. The year “1929” is written in ink on the cover: VG-EX
