Description: Thurman Munson New York Yankees game worn undershirt c.1970s. Original wool undershirt worn by Munson with the New York Yankees has navy blue sleeves and a grey body. Retains its original McAuliffe mfg. tagging below the button strip. "MUNSON 15" is written in period black marker across the front and repeated across the collar area on the back. The shirt exhibits evident heavy use including wash wear and some small holes to the body. The underarm areas of both sleeves have been cut out in the period (by Munson) for comfort. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and letter of provenance from Diana Munson: VG-EX
