Description: Set of Thurman Munson's 1975 New York Yankees player contracts (unexecuted). Grouping of three original player contracts issued to Thurman Munson for the 1975 season. The proposed salary on each contract draft was for $80,000. All three player contracts have been signed by New York Yankees majority owner George Steinbrenner, but not by Munson. The lot also includes three supplemental contracts each signed by Steinbrenner, but again, not by Munson. The 1975 season was one of the finest of Munson's career, with a career best .318 batting average and once again being named the starting catcher in the All-Star game for the American League. Includes LOA from JSA, original NY Yankees mailing envelope, and letter of provenance from Diana Munson: NM
