Description: Rare 1898 Boston Beaneaters National League Championship locket. Gold hinged lid locket in honor of the Boston Beaneaters National League Championship. The locket measures just under 1" in diameter and is inscribed on the back, "Bostons Champions 1898". The exterior top lid of the locket features an engraved sunburst design with a small inset center diamond. The Beaneaters were one of the more powerful teams of the 19th century capturing eight NL titles with such players as Jimmy Collins, Hugh Duffy, Bobby Lowe, Kid Nichols, and Vic Willis.
