Description: ***LATE ADDITION*** Barry Bonds’ 749th home run baseball. Official MLB Selig ball hit for home run #749 by Barry bonds on June 22, 7007. The ball was caught by nineteen year old Daryl King, who attended the game at Giants stadium against the New York Yankees. King was sitting in section 144 of the outfield bleachers as he has for every Giants home game since the stadium opened in 2000. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Bonds belted #749 off Yankees pitcher Scott Procter straight into the right-center field stands where a bevy of Yankees fans were waiting to make the catch. The ball came down just behind them as King leaned to the left and caught the ball with his glove. King immediately stuffed the ball into his pocket and pressed his hand against it as the Yankees fans hoisted him up. King eventually broke free and fled the stands with the ball still in his pocket. To date, the offered Barry Bonds home run baseball is the highest career HR ball to have entered the marketplace. Additionally, it is one of the very few 700+ home run baseballs to have been hit by any player to be offered at auction. Included with the ball is a King’s original ticket for the game, a COA from the Giants, letter of provenance from Darryl King, and a letter from a Giants Guest Services Attendant who witnessed the catch: EX
