Description: Baseball decorated occupational shaving mug c.1900. Beautiful hand painted porcelain handled mug depicts a batter and catcher scene on the front panel. The mug retains the vast majority of its original gilt decoration around the top and bottom borders; the owner's name "C.G. Nothwang" also remains. Stamped "GDA, France" under the base. Mug has some professionally repaired cracking which does extend into the bottom background area of the decoration with a few small chips (from the crack) under the base.
