Description: Rare baseball figural gas lamp c.1870s. One of only a few known examples this lamp features a full uniformed player in 1860s style garb leaning on a bat and holding a ball. The figure was originally finished in bronzed gilt, which is now covered with a vintage coat of similar gilt paint. Stands 12" tall on its original black marble base, which is also painted: EX
