Description: 1938 Joe DiMaggio figural trophy. Cylindrical silverplated trophy presented to DiMaggio by the National Italian American Civic League in honor of the most valuable player from 1938-39. Trophy stands 16" tall with a figural batter on top and is inscribed on the front to DiMaggio with date and titling. The trophy exhibits moderate to heavy handling and age wear including losses to the original silverplating. One of only a few 1930s era trophies within the DiMaggio collection: VG
