Description: Unique Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jimmie Foxx auto. baseball. Lightly toned Harwood "National league" ball with red and green stitching signed by the three 1920's HOF sluggers. Babe Ruth has signed on the sweet spot rating 8 out of 10, Lou Gehrig on a side panel rating 7 out of 10, and Jimmie Foxx on a side panel running towards the Ruth signature which rates 9 out of 10. The Foxx signature has a slight bit of ink bleeding with one tiny spot that grazes the base of the "B" in Babe. Ball was obtained on Oct. 20, 1928 during a barnstorming Tour when the trio were passing through Reading,PA. The ball has notation on side panel, "10-20-28 Lauer's Park" which was an Atlantic League stadium built in 1907. These three men literally owned American League pitching during the 1920-30's era with staggering lifetime combined totals of 5,984 runs scored; 5,660 RBI's; and 1,741 home runs. The offered baseball is the first example of this combination that we have encountered with note to the impeccable provenance and high grade signature condition. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad and letter of provenance from the family of the original recipient: Ball: EX, Signatures: Range EX/MT-NM
