Description: Fine 1934 Tour of Japan U.S. All-Star team auto. baseball. Lightly toned Kajimaya "International League" ball signed by (12) members of the U.S. tour including Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Berg (signed in both American and Japanese), Gehringer, O'Doul, and Eleanor Gehrig. Signatures range from 6-9 out of 10, ball was signed on December 6, 1934 during the only Major League baseball game to be played on Chinese soil as the team had stopped for refueling in Shanghai en route to the Philippines and ended up playing a makeshift game against a team of U.S. Marines and missionaries. The U.S. team won 22-1 behind three home runs hit by Babe Ruth who was wearing a sweater. The ball has remained in the family of the original recipient until the current offering.
