Toned and partially clear coated Harridge AL ball signed by Luke Appling on a side panel with notations in Appling's hand, "2154th August 5 (6?), 1949". Date refers to the game in which Appling broke Rabbit Maranville's mark for most games played at shortstop. Hard to tell whether Appling mistakenly wrote "5" for the date or if it is a "6" but reference is clear. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad: EX
