Description: Fine Christy Mathewson studio portrait by Unity - "Presented by Christy's Mother." c.1910s. Sepia toned large format 10"x13" photograph showing Christy Mathewson posed in studio. There is a "Unity N.Y." mark printed within and a fountain pen handwritten notation just below reads "Presented by Christy's Mother." Mounted to board with some mild wear evident around the edges. An included program issued for "Christy Mathewson Day" in Factoryville, PA which took place in May of 1939 has this same image reproduced (complete with mother related notation) on the first inside page. Includes Mathewson Collection certificate of provenance: VG
