Description: Very rare Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris endorsed basketball sneakers in original box c.1960s. Scarce pair of "new old stock" canvas basketball sneakers which are done in black and each has a "Mantle Maris" decoration on the inner heel. Housed in the original box which has both Mantle and Maris pictured on the lid and either end with their facsimile signatures incorporated into the design. Shoes are unused and in NM overall condition with a hint of light age related toning. Box displays beautifully however there is some wear including some creasing and wrinkles and partial upper surface separations at corners of the lid. The first we can recall offering.
