Content reads, "Permission is granted the following named Staff Officers, 28th Division Headquarters, to proceed to NANCY, returning not later than noon, January 2nd, 1919." Among those listed below is "Captain Christopher Mathewson, Asst. Div. G.O." The name "Capt. Mathewson" is written at lower right pencil in unknown hand. Fold lines a general handling wear throughout. Includes Mathewson Collection certificate of provenance: VG
