Description: Interesting lot of pieces from the Milt Gaston Estate incl. Red Sox engraved serving tray, (5) c.1918 real photo postcards, and several c.1930s photographs (GD-EX/MT) Includes large circular serving tray (just under 19" across) which is marked Balfour on the underside. The lid has a Red Sox team logo engraved; framed sepia toned 8"x10" photo showing several Red Sox players incl. Red Ruffing which has "Pensacola, Florida 1930" written along the lower edge in vintage fountain pen; (5) sepia toned real photo postcards showing the c.1918 U.S.S. Texas Naval baseball team. Two of these have period fountain pen notations throughout the fronts (and one of those has an edge trimmed off); approx. 3.5"x6" sepia toned photo of a uniformed Red Sox player which is identified on back as Muddy Ruel; 4"x6" sepia toned c.1930s Chicago White Sox team photo with Burke stamp on back, slightly smaller image of several Chicago players with women (likely their wives) behind them, and smaller snapshot of several Chicago players; and other Gaston/related paperwork including images, newspapers, several pieces of correspondence, and (10) pieces which have been signed by Milt Gaston (ink/marker - 8 to 9/10 out of 10).
