Description: c.1890s-1900s Morrill patent nose guard (VG-EX) Early nose guard has "Sept 29 1891" patent date on the upper front and "John F. Morrill Boston" marking inside. "POLY" was carved in the side in the period and it appears that a small triangle of material was removed from the front. Mild use and some minimal discoloration throughout: VG-EX
