Description: Rocky Marciano "Best Wishes Mr. President" signed biographical publication (Sig. EX-EX/MT, Publication GD) Heavyweight Champion Rocky Marciano has signed and inscribed the cover of this promotional brochure -Best Wishes Mr. President, Rocky Marciano+ in ink rating 7-7/8 out of 10. The brochure which was published in 1955 acknowledges Marciano+s status as the undefeated heavyweight champion of the world (5.5 X 8.5). Publication itself has scuffing and wear to the edges that includes some small chips/tears. It is no coincidence that Marciano certainly met many presidents in his day including the President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower on at least one occasion. Marciano+s public demeanor and record of achievement often resulted in a line of people waiting to shake his hand no matter wherever he traveled. Marciano first became Heavyweight World Champion when he earned a K.O. victory against +Jersey' Joe Walcott in September 1952; a title he successfully defended six times. When retiring from boxing in 1956 his record counted 49 wins of which 43 were by K.O. and not one loss. Marciano is considered to be one of the best Heavyweight Champions of all-time and is the only undefeated champion in any weight class in the history of gloved boxing: Sig.
