Description: Yankees minor league jersey with Thurman Munson memorial armband, c.1979-80 (EX). Medalist Sand-Knit size 44 jersey with "YANKEES" impressed across the front and number "31" on the back. A black armband is sewn on the left sleeve in memory of Thurman Munson. Likely either the 1979 West Haven Yankees or the 1979/1980 Fort Lauderdale Yankees. Images can be found of the Columbus Clippers wearing the armband, so it is known that it was worn by the minor league affiliates.
