Description: Nice lot of deceased baseball player autographs incl. tougher names (GD-EX) Includes Rollie Zeider signed personal check with a handwritten note from his widow to the collector who requested his autograph. Also includes a choice 5"x7" sepia toned photo of Zeider with the New York Yankees in 1913 (the first season in which the team was known by that name); Bill Dewitt Sr. signed 8"x10" photo which is mounted to scrapbook page (there is a Dick Farrell signed 8"x10" on the back which has been traced over however this was likely done by Farrell himself when the original ink did not take well to photo surface); Johnny Cooney signed 8"x10" photo (damage to corners, stamped Wingfield on back); Fred Fitzsimmons signed 8"x10" photo; (2) Ernie Shore signed index cards; Ray Morehart signature on back of 1984 commemorative trading card; scrapbook page with Tony Conligliaro signed small photo and (2) Charles O. Finley pieces mounted to front (Spud Murray handwritten letter on Yankees stationary on back); scrapbook page with Frank O'Rourke signed image on one side and O'Rourke handwritten and signed note on the other; 1975 Eddie Palmer handwritten and signed letter; Charles Conway carbon copy cut signature which is mounted to scrapbook page along with a letter from his wife and an early c.1900s-10s photo of Conway. The photo is on an oval mount which has been cut around the image and there are markings on back; Al Baird handwritten and signed letter; Fred Parent 8"x10" photo which has been signed on both front and back (damage to photo itself); Hank Severeid signed 8"x10" photo; Zack Taylor signed 8"x10" photo (on scrapbook page with Stan Hack signed photo on the back). Also includes a Taylor handwritten letter (also mounted to page and there are holes punched along the right edge); Mayo Smith signed 8"x10" photo (Wingfield stamp on back); Rube Ehrhardt signed small photocopied image. Signatures rate 6 to 9 out of 10 with some personalized. All pieces are or at one time were mounted to scrapbook pages.
