Description: Interesting lot of (9) c.1910s-40s baseball related postcards (GD-EX) Includes color "J.H. Pinkham" advertising postcard captioned "Bill Carrigan And His Auto, Presented By His Friends After The Worlds Series." Postmarked 1920 but likely produced a few years earlier. There is a Red Sox pennant attached to the car which can be seen upon close inspection; c.1911 E.F. Sehring postcard showing Hugh Jenning auto accident in December of that year; "Base Ball Minneapolis vs. Saint Paul" game advertising postcard postmarked 1907; postcard showing view of Christy Mathewson's childhood home; postcard showing view of Frank Bakers home; (2) c.1910s-20s postcards which show baseball fans getting game scores from scoreboards in store windows; undated real photo postcard captioned "Cubs Day Henry, Ill" with note(s) on back relaying that it shows a crowd in the streets as the Cubs arrived in town (presumably to play a barnstorming game); (2) c.1940s real photo postcards showing fan H.S. Thobe with descriptive text on the back of one noting that is a World Series (and other event) gate crasher. Also includes a postcard showing Abner Doubleday house which likely dates to later period than others. Varying degrees of postal, handling, and age wear throughout: GD-EX
