Description: Lot of (53) 1910-12 Sweet Caporal pins - (50) different with (14) Hall of Famers incl. Cobb, Mathewson, and Johnson (Range GD-EX/MT, Avg. VG/EX-EX) Nice and fairly consistent group with regard to condition with average pin falling in the VG/EX-EX range and only a small number slipping below. Hall of Famers and notables incl. Ty Cobb (EX), Walter Johnson (VG/EX-EX slightly OC), Christy Mathewson (VG/EX-EX slightly OC), Clark Griffith, Johnny Evers, Mordecai Brown, Fred Clarke, Tris Speaker, Hugh Jennings, Bobby Wallace, (2) Miller Huggins, Harry Hooper, Roger Bresnahan, Harry Hooper, Hal Chase, Fred Merkle, Dick Hoblitzell, and Patsy Dougherty. The (3) duplicates include Huggins, Ford, and Schaefer. All but (2) retain original paper inserts on back and (4) have paper inserts which are either torn or otherwise damaged (Bresnahan is the key pin with back paper insert damage).
