See a Picture of this Item 509 Superb "Base Ball Champions" wooden bread box c.1880's. Stuuning softwood hinge lidded box from the Keebler-Weyl Baking Co., Philadelphia having large applied decorative baseball paper labels on interior of lid and box front. Each label depicts a batsman and catcher in full uniform with early equipment having a decorative border inclusive of ring bats and balls. Box itself has some general age wear incl. toning and retains wonderful original surface. Interior label is fairly clean except for a stain at lower left and small stain at upper right, label on box front is toned from age with some light chipping but would most likely brighten with a cleaning. Overall size is an impressive 11" tall x 19" wide x 14" deep, easily one of the more impressive pieces of its' type that we have handled and the first of its' kind that we know to exist: VG-EX ($3,500.00-$4,500.00) $3,700.00
