The lid has original inset numbered identification placard and a half moon shaped opening through which stubs would be deposited. Wear throughout consistent with long term use as intended. Early Windsor style chair as used in Yankee Stadium has been refinished but otherwise matches the style of those known to have been used in 1920s-1930s era. A small amount of the original and distinctive green paint can be seen in a few areas which the upper surface has chipped away. Approximately 34" tall and 19" wide with evident wear consistent with long term outdoor use and storage. Desirable early piece is one of only a handful to have been offered in recent years. Well done original gouache on board has been signed "Ernest Hamlin Baker" within the work at lower left. Evidently unsatisfied with the original version the face was repainted and affixed over a more somber looking Ott. This second version has since come loose (with a resulting outline of residue below) but could be reaffixed by a conservator if so desired. Framed to 12.75"x14" (no glass) with some light toning/wear including a crease to both the original work and (more prominently) the secondary face.
