Original sepia tone 7"x11" matted and framed image picturing the esteemed Notre Dame football coach in suit signed in black fountain pen across the front, "Sincerely Knute Rockne". Signature presents very boldly rating 8/9 out of 10. The photograph itself retains nice clarity but does have a fair amount of creasing focused on the perimeter areas with two pieces of supportive tape on the reverse. Few small pinholes are found in the white border area not visible under the matting and frame. Stamped on the back, "H.C. Elmore News Times, South Bend, IN" along with a period hand written ink inscription, "Jimmy Walsh 244 Sophomore Hall Univ. of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana".
