Vintage ring as crafted in honor of the Reds NL pennant winning season which led them to a World Series appearance against the New York Yankees. Top of the ring features an inset half carat diamond on a red field with "National League Champions" lettering surrounding. One side panel features Reds logo above a baseball dated 1961 with the other side panel picturing the Reds mascot. Interior ring band is marked "Josten 14K". The offered ring appears to have not been specifically issued to a player, front office member, or organizational staff member remaining without an engraved recipient name on interior band as seen on several other known exemplars. Beautifully done ring with ornate top face that resembles the interior of Memorial Stadium has "Orioles" team name at home plate location and a large CZ stone accent. "Baltimore Orioles World Champions" is lettered around the beveled edge. Left shank has the year "1970" set atop a black and orange enameled Orioles hat. The design below incorporates "F.Robinson" and his number "20" in recognition of the team's most noted player in the era. Right shank has a beautifully done relief of the "American League" flag being carried by bird atop a "1970 Champions" logo. This shank has powder blue and white enamel with a small strip of red that is missing. Marked "Jenkins 10K" on interior band which has some additional numbers stamped in. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Maris facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 32.1oz. Model number "O16" is stamped in the knob and a vintage number "9" has been written on either end in marker. As noted in the accompanying PSA letter, the bat "shows evidence of light use. No discernable ball marks are visible on the barrel. Several red bat rack streaks from the St. Louis Cardinals bat rack are visible on the left and back barrel." Vintage signed, "To Hank Best Always, Roger Maris" rating 5/6-6 out of 10; a very rare and highly desirable trait which serves to put the bat directly in his hands in the period. Piping at the collar area shows some typical fraying from use mostly to the back of the neck.
