Massive tome is one of the largest publishing projects ever undertaken combining nearly 1,400 of the finest football images ever taken with 150,000 words from some of America's great sportswriters. The book has been signed by all living Super Bowl MVPs as of 2006 (total of 35 autographs) incl. Starr, Namath, Dawson, Staubach, Csonka, Harris, Swann, White, Bradshaw, Montana, Rice, Riggins, Simms, Allen, Aikman, Smith, Young, Davis, Elway, Warner, Brady, Ward, and others. Black ink signatures rate consistently strong 9 out of 10. One of only (400) copies produced which includes the signature page and further enhanced by the additional interior page denoting it as Larry Brown's personal copy. It is one of only (35) that was produced with the special flyleaf and to the best of our knowledge is the first to be offered which comes directly from a former MVP. Hand sewn and bound in fine quality leather with silver lettering on cover and affixed "NFL" shield logo. Weighs nearly (88) pounds, measuring a full 20"x20", and comes housed in the original clamshell style case. The book is in fine condition exhibiting only the very slightest hint of wear mentioned only for the sake accuracy, case slightly more so. Game time temperatures were 13 degrees below zero with a wind chill factor hovering between -40 and -50 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperatures were so horrid that the use of whistles was suspended after becoming frozen to the referee's lips following the initial kickoff. The game itself was nearly as epic as the weather conditions, with the Packers prevailing for the second year in a row on a dramatic unannounced quarterback sneak for a touchdown by Bart Starr. The Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in front of a crowd of 61,946 leaving a scant few full tickets in existence. Surface creasing and edge wear throughout with small semi-circular tear about one third of the way up from bottom edge. Several minute areas of surface wear. Despite noted condition issues, ticket retains fine display qualities and one of only a handful that we have encountered in full form.
