White mesh jersey features red on black "Bulls" team name across the front with "23" underneath. Reverse displays red on black "Jordan" lettering with "23" beneath. Champion manufacturer's tagging remains affixed to the tail front with size 46 denoted. Additional "1992-93 Designed and Tailored Exclusively For Chicago Bulls" tagging is also found on the tail front with ""Body Length +3"" at the bottom. The jersey exhibits appropriate light usage wear inclusive of some wash wear (puckering) to the tagging. The offered jersey was obtained directly from Michael Jordan following the 1992-93 NBA season by a former Upper Deck executive. The gentleman was taking part in a photo shoot with Jordan (note photo in catalogue) and had also played a brief bit of one on one basketball with Michael. He indicated that if he scored a basket against Michael, he would want Michael's jersey. Although the gentleman did not in fact score, Michael presented him with the offered jersey anyway, and autographed the shirt at that time as well. The large black sharpie signature presents beautifully across the back of the jersey and is signed in Jordan's early 1990s style, which is appropriate to the period. The 1993 season was one of the more historic in Bulls' franchise history, as the team captured its third consecutive title in as many years with Michael Jordan taking the Most Valuable Player award for the NBA Finals for a third straight season. Very fine Michael Jordan game jersey with uncommonly strong primary provenance and desirable period autograph is among the finer exemplars of its type that we have offered. Scarce and historically significant program issued for the game that saw the greatest individual player performance in pro basketball history. "The Wigwam" program issued for the March 2, 1962 game pictures Chamberlain on front cover. Interior scoring grid is unscored except for a period notation next to Chamberlain's name noting his field goals made (36), free throws made (28), fouls (2) and notation "new record 100 pts." Game was played at Hershey Arena in Hershey, PA before a lucky crowd of 4,124 patrons.
