Description: Babe Ruth single signed baseball. Lt. cream color National "American League" baseball signed, "To Bruce Bruce Sincerely Babe Ruth 1948" running from one side panel into another. Signature and salutation rate 7 out of 10 with just slight original lightness in the "e" in Babe. Presented to a 6th grader named Bruce Weil whose parents were acquainted with Ruth and had visited Ruth in the hospital at which point he signed (2) baseballs among which is the offered ball. The Weil family resided in Maplewood,NJ at the time of the signing, Ruth passed away only a few weeks after this bal was signed. Includes letter of provenance: EX
