Description: 1952 Topps baseball card partial set. Missing (65) cards for completion this lot is truly one of the more tragic that we've ever handled. The set was assembled by a collector over many years and at some point in the late 1970's and 1980's it was determined that the set needed to be protected-the obvious answer was plastic sheets. The only problem was that the 1952 cards did not fit into the "standard" size nine pocket sheet, I don't think we have to finish the rest of the story as the lot description will be self explanatory. All cards in the group retain fine color and surface gloss with minimal surface wear, star players include: Rizzuto, Hodges, Snider. Feller, Berra, Mays, Campanella, Mantle, Reese, and Mathews. Card backs are for the most part very clean although a portion on them have a period name stamped on back. Great opportunity to obtain a 1952 set w/Mantle for a literal fraction of typical worth.
