Description: Fine 1923 New York Yankees photographic display piece. The Yankees of 1923 rose New York baseball to another level capturing their first World Championship in Yankee Stadium; 77 years later they have managed to repeat that fact over 25 times. The offered display consists of a collage style arrangement of individual player portraits incl. Ruth, Pennock, Hoyt, Shawkey, Bush, and a central image of Ruth admiring Miller Huggins Championship ring. The images are spot mounted on original thick stock photo board and was believed to have been created to be reprinted in the New York Times after the Series. Overall size is 18"x24" archivally matted and framed, clean overall retaining strong contrast with a few player images having light age wear incl. wrinkling: EX-EX/MT
