Description: Rare 1916 Sporting News M101-4 baseball card complete set. Difficult early set loaded with HOF'er cards pictured in fairly high quality black and white photography. Key cards grade as follows: Cobb #38: EX, Jackson #87: EX-EX/MT (Has a minute ding to top rt. corner and minimal wear to an area to the rt. of bott. left corner), Johnson #91: VG-EX, Ruth #151: EX (Fairly clean overall with the exception of small surface stain at bott. left which may be removable), Stengel #169: EX, and Wagner #182: VG (horiz. crease). Balance of the set is very clean with a small handful of GD-VG cards, several NM examples, and majority EX or better: Range GD/VG-NM
