Description: Folk art baseball painted decorated children’s sled c.1880-1900. Cherry sled with original cast iron runners featuring a painted two board surface area depicting a catcher with “Kelly” stenciled under image. Retains orig. gingerbread style handle rails and great unrestored original surface. Has an area of natural usage wear to one side of seat and some light overall wear. Baseball related items of paint decoration are seldom offered in any format, one of only four such examples that we know to exist: EX
