Description: Rare Cy Young single signature baseball. Lightly toned off white Harridge AL ball signed by Young in bold blue ink on side panel . Signature rates 8/9 out of 10 and displays very nicely by itself. “511 wins” written in similar ink on sweet spot may have been written by Young but unclear, dated 10-1-55 on other panel with salutation, “To Richard From Old Bick”. Obtained by a gentleman at a sports gathering in 1955 that took place at Reedurban, Ohio which is near Young’s hometown of Peoli, Ohio. The ball was presented to the man’s son who it has remained with until its’ current offering. Very tough ball from the greatest pitcher in baseball history signed just one month before his death. Accompanied by letter of provenance from family (Richard) and a letter of authenticity from Michael Gutierrez: Ball: EX, Signature: EX/MT-NM
